David Bowie x Youcom T-Shirts
Client: Youcom
Year: 2013

As my first work as assistant graphic designer at Youcom, I developed a two piece t-shirt collection inspired by David Bowie.

My goal for this project was to not be obvious as other Bowie's inspired t-shirts (for instance, animal with a thunderbolt in its face), instead to create an artwork that would be recognizable by Bowie's fans, but at the same time, would be aesthetic appealing to customers who do not know the artist.

For the Thunderbolt t-shirt, it was created a thunderbolt pattern based on Bowie's thunderbolt makeup on Alladin Sane album cover. The rapport was silk screened on the inside of the t-shirt in order to achieve the worn out effect.

For the Chameleon t-shirt, it was created a four-color print.
The background was made with digital collage of pictures of the artist's eyes. On the foreground I digitally illustrated facts about Bowie's life and career.
